“When I was a child, I talked like a child; I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me”- 1 Corinthians 13:11 NIV
After my father recently released “6 Tips For Raising Godly Children: Raising Godly Children In Today’s World”, which you can read here if you haven’t done so, I felt that it was necessary to get the child’s perspective and this gave rise to this feature post “Becoming A Godly Child: 5 Key Turning Points”
I’ve been blessed with having the privilege of having my parents to be the kind of parents that they are. From a tender age they have put all efforts in giving me and my siblings the best in life and teaching us in the way of the Lord. Although I did everything willingly and with a heart of love for God, it never really clicked for me until I was in my teens. I think this only happened because I had a revelation of who God is to me and I was finally able to see where my parents were coming from.
For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the Lord, to do righteousness and justice, that the Lord may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.” – Genesis 18:19 (NKJV)
Children are the future of any society and the character of the children is the leading indicator of the future of the nation. It takes godly parents to raise godly children but from my observations, it would seem to appear that some parents have abdicated this responsibility to either the church or the school system. The reality however is that influence begins at home. It is in the home that children learn right from wrong, a sense of justice, pick up habits, mannerisms, learn to read and write, learn to talk etc.
but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen – 2 Peter 3:18 (NKJV)

But there is a spirit in man,
And the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding.

One idea conceived, believed and acted upon has the capacity to change the world and your world as you know it.Just take a moment and consider the following: the automobile, the aeroplane, the vending machine, the microwave, the personal computer, the internet, the mobile phone, the laptop, Ipad, google, facebook, twitter, instagram, pinterest, linkedin, periscope etc. (more…)
